Cleaning other machines

Cleaning extrusion machines (calibrations)

REQUIREMENTS

Extrusion means the processing of plastics with the help of extruders or extrusion machines. Nowadays, a wide variety of profiles - from plastic cups to window frames - can be produced. The respective material is usually cooled in a water bath after shaping.

After the liquid plastic has been extracted, it is pressed through a nozzle into a so-called calibration bore (tool), which has the shape of the later profile. During these thermal processes, waxes are released or added as lubricants. These waxes harden in the system and must therefore be cleaned regularly. Ultrasonic baths or relatively aggressive cleaners are often used for this purpose.

OUR SOLUTION

The low-pressure hot cleaning technology ensures optimum accessibility in the complex moulds; among other things, the various cooling channels can be cleaned very well with our tools (nozzles). The tools can also be used directly in the system as the profiles are usually cooled in a water bath.

Thanks to the unique method - high temperatures and low pressure - the normally rather aggressive cleaners can often be dispensed with. This protects people and the environment, and it saves money. This does not preclude the possibility of adding corrosion protection and/or small quantities of alkaline cleaning agents if necessary.

Compared to the ultrasonic baths often used, low-pressure hot cleaning is a much more efficient and faster process. In addition, cleaned residual oil floats on the surface of the bath in ultrasonic units, and the cleaned calibrations have to be lifted out of the unit through this oil layer - which causes them to become contaminated again.

Finally, there are considerable savings in investment, especially for large ultrasonic machines, as our units are usually considerably cheaper.

With the help of the amortisation calculator, you are welcome to work this out for your company.

YOUR ADVANTAGES

  • Efficiency: Most waxes and lubricants are easily softened at up to 95°C and gently cleaned off by the low pressure.
  • Time saving: The calibrations are simply sprayed off, if necessary brushes can be used and/or alkaline cleaners can be added. This saves a lot of time.
  • Quality: Hard-to-reach areas are easily accessible with the lances, and even stubborn dirt can be cleaned with the brushes and nozzles.
  • Medium: Usually hot water, if necessary with small quantities of alkaline cleaner. This results in considerable cost savings compared to ultrasonic baths.
  • High work safety, as there is no risk of injury and no / hardly any chemicals.
  • Easy handling motivates the employees.
  • Comparatively low investment for a device that can be used universally.
  • Economic efficiency: Low investment, low running costs, but high time savings.
Cleaning injection moulding machines

REQUIREMENTS

Injection moulding machines are sometimes used with toggle levers for power transmission. Depending on the age of the machines, these toggle levers require grease or oil loss lubrication. The excess or contaminated grease or oil is pressed out of the plain bearings so that the bearings are constantly kept under lubricant.

The disadvantage of this method is the high degree of contamination of the equipment in hard-to-reach places.

OUR SOLUTION

The low-pressure hot cleaning technology with its various lances ensures optimum accessibility even in hard-to-reach places. Due to the high working temperature of up to 95°C, grease and oil contamination are cleaned off without any problems. At 1.8 litres or 2.8 litres per minute at 7.5 or 14 bar respectively, only small quantities of cleaning medium are required.

YOUR ADVANTAGES

  • Efficiency: Grease and oil are easily softened at up to 95°C and gently cleaned off by the low pressure.
  • Quality: The lances make it easy to reach even hard-to-reach areas, and the brushes and nozzles can be used to clean even stubborn dirt.
  • Medium: Usually hot water, if necessary with small quantities of alkaline cleaner. This results in considerable cost savings compared to other methods that require many times more resources.
  • High work safety, as there is no risk of injury and no / hardly any chemicals.
  • Easy handling motivates the employees.
  • Comparatively low investment for a device that can be used universally.
  • Economic efficiency: Low investment, low running costs, but high time savings.
