Cold cleaners are subject to VOC-guidelines, which means
- only a limited use for the plant is allowed.
- They volatilize up to 30 % and thus pollute the environment (ozonsphere)
- Solvents are mineral-oil based.
- Solvents affect the health, particularly the skin, are degreasing, evil-smelling and affect breathing – up to nausea and headache.
